Getting started
About a minute, start to finish.
1. Install
- Install Claude Code if you don't have it. Productivo uses it to do the work.
- Download Productivo, open the file, and drag Productivo to Applications.
- Open it. During the beta the app isn't signed by Apple yet, so macOS asks first: click Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You do this once per version.
2. Connect your tracker
Productivo asks one question — where do your tickets live? — and then:
- Jira: paste your Jira address (any link from your Jira works), check the email you sign in to Atlassian with, and paste an API token. The "Create one" link takes you to the right page; click Create API token, copy, paste.
- Azure DevOps: click Sign in with Microsoft, or paste a personal access token with Work Items: Read & write.
Then tick the projects you work in. The ones you've worked in lately are already ticked. That's it.
3. Use it
- Today shows what needs you: Claude sessions waiting for an answer, and your active work.
- Projects holds your epics and features. Open one and pick a workflow: Status brief, Shape stories, New story, Answer asks, PRD or Release notes. A Claude session opens beside it with everything it needs.
- Nothing is written without your go. Claude shows every draft first, and asks before it changes anything in your tracker.
In the terminal, too
The same workflows run in Claude Code anywhere: type /productivo:status, /productivo:shape PROD-12 and so on.
