What stays on your Mac
- Your settings and projects, in
~/.productivoin your home folder. - Your tracker sign-in in your macOS Keychain: a Jira API token, an Azure DevOps token, or the sign-in from "Sign in with Atlassian" / "Sign in with Microsoft". With the Azure CLI option, Productivo keeps no token at all.
- An index of your Claude Code sessions (titles, folders, timestamps), built from the files Claude Code already keeps on your Mac, so Productivo can show and resume them.
Where your data goes
- To your tracker (Jira or Azure DevOps), directly from your Mac, with your own sign-in. The app itself only reads. Changes happen in Claude sessions, only after you approve them, and Productivo never deletes anything.
- To Claude, when you work in a Claude session. Claude Code sends what the session needs to Anthropic under your own Claude plan and Anthropic's terms. Productivo adds no tracking of its own.
What Productivo doesn't do
- No account with us, no analytics or tracking inside the app, no selling or sharing of data.
- The app contacts our website to check for updates (it sends only its version number, no identifiers, which tells us roughly how many people use each version) and when you choose Send feedback (your message, an optional reply email, and your app and macOS versions).
- Error reports are off unless you turn them on. If you do, when the app hits a bug it sends what failed and where in the app's code, the app and macOS version, and a random install ID (so we can tell how many installs hit the same bug). Messages are scrubbed of emails, links, tokens, ticket keys, quoted text and folder names before they leave your Mac. Turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy.
This website
The beta signup form and in-app feedback are stored privately with our hosting provider (Vercel) and read only by us. We use your email only to send you the beta and Productivo news you asked for. Downloads are counted anonymously (date and version only). "Sign in with Atlassian" passes one step through this site, because Atlassian requires a secret only we can hold: the site swaps the one-time sign-in code for your tokens and hands them straight to your app, without storing or logging them. "Sign in with Microsoft" doesn't touch this site at all. The site uses no cookies and no trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider briefly keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability. When Pro launches, payments are handled by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record; we receive your email and licence status, never your card details.
Removing everything
Delete the app, the ~/.productivo folder, and the "Productivo" items in Keychain Access. Your Claude Code sessions and your tracker are untouched.
Questions
